JOB TITLE: Food Service Lead

 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 hours daily – 4 days per week, Mon-Thur 9 month position

Hourly Pay: Classified Salary Schedule DOE Fringe Benefits

 

REPORTS TO: Food Service Manager /Principal

 

WORK LOCATION: Globe Unified School District

 

OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position performs the same duties as a district food service worker with the additional assignment of assisting the Food Service Manager in day-to-day supervision and complete supervision in the absence of a manager. Thsi is not an easy position, you work harder than other food service workers. You must be seen and available to your staff especially during service times.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School diploma or equivalent required.
2. Must have knowledge and proficiency in quantity food production in cafeteria operations; be able to attend food service workshops.
3. Must have completed food personnel sanitation course and possess valid certificate of completion; able to demonstrate leadership in kitchen
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must pass Serve Safe Manager Certification with in first 3 months.

2. Knowledge of Active Managerial Control and HACCP and will follow HACCP procudures.

3. Follow guidelines for all government programs (SBP, NSLP, At-Risk)

4. Leads by example. 

5. Able to adapt.

6. Positive Thinker.

7. Keeps calm under stressful situations.

8. Can multi task

9. Plans out the day.

10. Preps, prepares and cooks hot breakfast & lunch.

11. Works the ovens during breakfast & lunch.

12. Directs Crew. 

13. Orders product.

15. Keeps site organized & clean.

16. Completes daily paperwork accurately.

17. Handles Cash.

18.Helps promote porogram.

19. Works well with Principals, teachers and other district staff.

20. Understands finacial documents.

21. Knowledge and experience working with food service equipment.

22. Pass Health Inspections.

23. Works & completes SNA Levels each year
